A Forex Trading Platform with Incredible Results

I would never have believed it unless I tried it for myself - so I did!

Some time back I was introduced to an automated FX trading system. If you've read my ramplings at my blog, you'll remember that I did not have very good experiences with "black box" FX systems, so I didn't recommend them.

All that has changed now. The technology has caught up with the trading skills, and a handful of brilliant traders and programmers have created a "forex trading robot" that is uncannily accurate.

Not that I would recommend giving up all other forms of trading and just getting "lazy", but a forex system like this definitely has its place in most currency traders' arsenal of weapons. After all, we need every advantage we can find to carve out our share of the proceeds, right?

Here's who I think this trading software is suited to:

• The trader who wants to be in the currencies market but just doesn't have the time to constantly watch the markets.
• The trader who has tried everything else out there, spent a fortune on charts, trading software and systems, but just can't seem to get it right, and is consequently not making money in the markets. You have a burning desire to trade, but you (or your spouse) have come to the conclusion that you suck at trading, and you're going to have to give up.
• The trader with emotional issues, such as not being able to "pull the trigger" to initiate a trade, letting losing trades get too big, taking winners too soon, etc. Robotic trading removes YOU from the decision-making.

How "Expert Advisor" Trading Systems Work

Essentially, all the decision-making for any trade is programmed into a software application that connects to the broker's trading platform. You just plug it in and it does all the work, opening trades, monitoring them, and closing them at pre-defined price points, or triggers.

The Benefits of Trading Robots

There are many good points about robotic traders (especially the one that I use):

• No need to spend time searching for good trades
• No need to sit at the computer waiting for the best entry point
• No worrying about open trades' profitabilities (leave the system alone!)
• No need to monitor trades looking for the best exit
• No emotional involvement

The Downside of Trading Robots

Unfortunately, nothing is perfect! The drawbacks of using a robot to do your trading for you include:

• System outages can cause the robot to miss a trade, or worse, a timely exit from an open trade. This can actually be overcome by using a VPS (virtual private server) that should have redundant machines in multiple locations to cover the event of a server going down at one location.
• I've discussed "bucket shops" elsewhere. If you don't know what I mean by that term, sign up for my ezines over there on the left and get my Special Report. Because most FX brokers are bucket shops, when they realize they're losing money trading against a robot, some of them will either shut down your account or widen their spreads so trading becomes outside the robot's parameters, and it can never enter any more trades. Don't think this couldn't happen - I've experienced it first hand!

To me, the benefits far outweight the downside risks.

I have been trading using my robot for some time now, and here's a snapshot of the results over the last 2 weeks (40 trades). I could go back further, but I'm lazy! Trust me, it's consistent, otherwise I wouldn't be using it!
